Call duration and the number of times the call sequence repeats can be configured - **NEW** Simple mode: For easier operation by users with restrictions, the following functions and more are available: After activation, the softkeys can be used as quick-dial buttons, such that each button can be assigned a phone number or function - **NEW** Simple mode: When using keypad dialing, the numeral entered is announced (can be disabled) ## Home Network: - **NEW** The Smart Check displays the current status of the FRITZ!Box in the MyFRITZ!App and provides tips and recommendations ## Smart Home: - **NEW** Frequently used smart home routines such as "Leaving the House", "Coming Home" or "Vacation" can be automated with just a few clicks and triggered, for example, with zones (geofences) that were previously configured in the FRITZ!App Smart Home - **NEW** Smart home routines support IF-THEN linkages with multiple triggers ? such as, for instance, zones defined on the smartphone. This means a routine does not start until the last resident has left the house with their smartphone - **NEW** When the "Turn off in case of overload" function is enabled, smart plugs are turned off after a defined period of time when a defined power level is exceeded [1] FRITZ!OS DNS filter blocks unwanted content With FRITZ!OS 8.47 it is possible to block access from home network devices like smartphones or computers to certain internet addresses (known as ?domains?). The FRITZ!Box supports common standards to read in and process lists of undesirable domain names. Users can also resort to publicly available DNS filter lists to filter out advertising, trackers and malware. Blocking of this kind is configured via the fritz.box user interface under Home Network > Network > Network Settings > Change Advanced Network Settings > DNS Filter. Filter lists can be added and updated periodically or manually, which helps make the internet connection more secure. Additional information is presented in the Online Help on the relevant page (https://fritzhelp.avm.de/help/en/FRITZ-Box-7590-AX/avm/026p1/hilfe_netzwerk_dns_filterlisten). This filtering applies to all home network devices that adopt the IP settings from the FRITZ!Box. This is generally the case. Exceptions can be configured, if necessary. [2] New prioritization feature automatically ensures the best possible connection when it matters most The new FRITZ!OS introduces enhancements for even more stable and faster connections, which are particularly beneficial for real-time communication such as video conferences and gaming. They are automatically detected and prioritized. If such communication is currently in progress, the prioritization is displayed in the user interface of the respective network device. This information can also be viewed on the details page up to 24 hours later. What's more, all prioritization settings are now also supported in the home network direction. [3] Smart Check shows the current status of the FRITZ!Box in the MyFRITZ!App and outputs notifications and recommendations With the new ?Smart Check? feature, the MyFRITZ!App now shows its users the current status of their FRITZ!Box directly on the start screen. In the categories FRITZ!OS, Smart Home, Telephony, USB, Home Network, Internet, Wi-Fi, LAN and Security, users receive helpful recommendations, notifications and warnings ? always with concrete tips for fast implementation. This way users keep track of their home network and can ensure optimum performance and security with just a few steps (iOS: MyFRITZ!App 2.16.0, Android: MyFRITZ!App 2.29.0. or later). Access to the MyFRITZ!App Beta for iOS (https://fritz.com/en/pages/fritz-lab-for-ios) and Android (https://fritz.com/en/pages/fritz-lab-for-android). ------------------------------------------------------------ # New features and improvements in FRITZ!OS ------------------------------------------------------------ FRITZ!OS 8.47 ## System: - **Fixed** Push service was not able to send any settings backups - **Improved** Improved details in the wizard for transferring settings to a new FRITZ!Box - **Improved** Many details improved and bugs fixed ------------------------------------------------------------ FRITZ!OS 8.46 -- only for production purposes (FCS) ------------------------------------------------------------ With each FRITZ!OS update, AVM also updates its security functions. Therefore we recommend performing the update for all devices. ------------------------------------------------------------ Note: Instructions for configuring and using Mesh functions are presented at en.avm.de/mesh-faq ------------------------------------------------------------ **Transmitting the Telephone Numbers of a Mesh Master to Another FRITZ!Box in the Home Network** Once you have added an additional FRITZ!Box to the Mesh, you can configure it so that all telephone numbers are available on each FRITZ!Box. If your FRITZ!Box is connected with a landline, you can use the telephones connected to the second FRITZ!Box to make calls over the internet as well as on the landline. If the latest FRITZ!OS 7 is installed on both FRITZ!Box models, the telephone numbers are transferred automatically in the Mesh once the "Telephony in the Mesh" option is enabled. If the new FRITZ!Box is already a component of the Mesh, or if you have already set up telephone numbers on it, these telephone numbers must be deleted and one of the two FRITZ!Box models must be restarted. Then the new FRITZ!Box must be enabled for "Telephony in the Mesh". To do so proceed as follows: - Click "Home Network" in the user interface of the Mesh Master. - Click "Mesh" in the "Home Network" menu. - Click the "Mesh Settings" tab. - In the "Use Telephony in the Mesh" section, click the "Enable" link next to the respective Mesh Repeater and then confirm that the procedure may be executed on the Mesh Master as well, if asked to do so. The telephone numbers are now distributed in the Mesh and can be assigned to your telephones and other telephony devices (for instance, answering machines) on the FRITZ!Box. Note: Telephony Mesh is not the same thing as DECT repeating, which requires the support of special hardware on the FRITZ!Box deployed as the Mesh Master. For DECT repeating, you can purchase the FRITZ!DECT Repeater 100 from an electronics retailer. ------------------------------------------------------------ **Instructions for installing the update:** Use the update function offered in the user interface to install the update. This automatically offers you the right FRITZ!OS. Click "Wizards", select "Update" and then follow the instructions on the screen. --- (c) FRITZ! GmbH 2004-2026. All rights reserved. This FRITZ!
