Abstract: This Service Pack updates NetWAYS/ISDN for Windows 95/98/NT 
to v.4.06.10 and supports Windows 2000. It comprises several bug fixes 
of the Shipping Version. This release is generally recommended for all 
current installations (v.4.0x.xx). 



Update eligibility: all AVM customers who purchased and hold a valid 
CD key for NetWAYS/ISDN for Windows 95/98/NT v.4.0x.xx are entitled to 
this update.

1.2 Modifications



Enhancements:

- Support for Windows 2000
- Support for multiprocessor systems (Attention: only active 
  ISDN-Controller are designed for multiprocessor systems)
- Support for the hibernate-mode from Windows 98 and Windows 2000


2 Installation Instructions



Please note that in order to successfully install this update, NetWAYS/ISDN 
v.4.0x.xx (Windows 95/98/NT) must already be installed on the system 
with a valid CD-Key. If this is not the case set-up routine will be aborted and 
the NetWAYS/ISDN update will not be installed. 


Attention
Users, which are using Windows 2000 and do not have an installed version from
NetWAYS/ISDN v4, have to go after step 2.2 directly to the steps 2.3a and 2.4a
to install the service pack.


2.1 Explode NW40528E.EXE onto the local hard disk. (Create a new folder first)



2.2 To start the update installation for NetWAYS/ISDN, open the Windows

    Explorer and double-click on the Setup.exe file. The update-installation

    program’s sign-on screen appears.



2.3 The system is checked for a previously installed version of NetWAYS/ISDN and

    for a valid CD key.



2.4 Click on Continue to proceed with the installation. Respond with "Yes"

    to keep the existing databases.



2.5  Click on OK to complete the update-installation and reboot the machine.


2.3a Users, which are using Windows 2000 and do not have an installed version from
     NetWAYS/ISDN v4, have to delete the file SETUP.UPD. After starting the SETUP.EXE
     the user will be prompted to enter a valid CD key. 

2.4a After the installation the user has to reboot the system to complete the procedure.



3 Additional Operating Information



Please refer to the NetWAYS/ISDN Manual or Online 

documentation for further operating instructions.



Please ensure that you are using the most current AVM ISDN-Controller driver.

The latest driver release can be obtained free of charge from the AVM Website

(www.avm.de) or from the AVM Data Call Centre (see Online documentation) and

is located in the sub-directory \CARDWARE.
